All rise ! The Judicial Commission is coming

The proposed Judicial Commission announced by the PM recently should be interesting . The members of the legal fraternity were impressed . Even the AG seems to be excited ( or is he ?) . Let's hope that the PM make good his promises about putting back the Judiciary at it's rightful place prior to 1988.

Free the Judiciary

What transpired at the Bar Council's dinner at JW Marriot on 17.4.2008 is something that Tun Salleh and the 5 judges have been waiting for the past 20 years . Although no official apology was tendered by the present PM but reading between the lines of his speech , Tun Salleh and his brother Judges , finally received what were due to them although 20 years late and through the present government.

Be that as it may , the Prime Minister has a long way to go to place the Judiciary on it's formal high pedestal . The amendment of Article 121 of the Federal Constitution which reduced the present Judiciary to one of the department under the Prime Minister's Dept , must be done at soonest when Parliament convenes in these coming weeks.

Till that day , Just being myself as usual.

Manic Monday

Tomorrow will be a big day for two personalities from Penang . The PM of Malaysia who hails from Kepala Batas and the de facto leader of the Pakatan Rakyat whose hometown is Permatang Pauh . In the morning , Pak Lah will be meeting will all the BN leaders while DSAI will be joining PKR and other guests at night at the Sulaiman Kelab in remembrance of BLACK 14 which in short is his entrance in politics after being banned after his conviction at the trial of the century 10 years ago .

The question is what will happen in these two events . While Pak Lah will have his hands full in explaining to his coalition partners why the tsunami happened , DSAI will be rejoicing his comeback in politics with his allies and supporters. Either way , it will be an interesting Monday and I would give anything to be there , though I don't have much to give.

Till Tuesday , just being me !

A penny for Mukhriz's thoughts.

The new MP for Jerlun who incidentally is the son of the former PM of Malaysia seems to be annoyed at Karpal Singh for calling Dr.MM a joker / clown . I think anyone will feel the same when someone started to call names towards their parents . That is understandable.

At the same , Muhriz's father had resort to the same in fact at times even worst . I wonder what will be Mukhriz's answer to a person who had called people who were on trial as traitors , sodomites , fellow UMNO members as stupid , half past six and lately labelling his former protege whom he used to treat like a son as the PM of Israel .

Mr.MP of Jerlun , you had said that you enter politics to help the rakyat and to make sure that justice is for everyone and will not hesistant to ' menegur sesiapa sahaja termasuk pemimpin UMNO dan kerajaan ' for that purpose .

Will you do the same to your beloved dad ?

Everyday is a new day in Malaysia

Good morning to all . It sure is a nice and beautiful day . Sunny skies and a weekend to go with it . It's a good one month after the tsunmai that shook Malaysia and I suppose to a certain extent the rest of the world including Singapore which I suspect is watching the events very carefully . Well as the saying goes ... que sera sera . Anyway on a seious note , the Prime Minister of Malaysia affectionally known as Pak Lah at last admits that he is partly to be blame of the disastrous results of the 2008 GE . Calls for him to step down is gaining momentum and at last count , the Johore UMNO being the bastion for UMNO seems to join in the race although the Johoreans are the most polite group by asking Pak Lah to prepare a succession plan before the big day when he will go out with grace in the sunset.

At the same , the Prime Minister in waiting , DSAI , seems to be pushing the right buttons at the moment . In about less than 48 hours from now , he will be ' free ' to make his comeback in active politics under the Malaysian Laws . I'm sure his 'liberty' is wellcome with open arms by Malaysians but feared by UMNO which had said time and time again , the former DPM is irrelevant , forgotten , dreamer etc.

To be honest , I used to wake every morning fealing dreadful not knowing which direction Malaysia will be heading . After 8.3.2008 , every new day seems to be full of hope and I wake up wishing that that day will be a better one than yesterday.

Till liberty day , Just being me.

Pak Lah's sense .... if any

The Kedah UMNO seems to be the latest group in jumping on the bandwagon to go after Pak Lah's blood after Johor . At the same , a senior blogger using the nick of Sang Kelembai has patch up with Pak Lah after giving Pak Lah hell in all his postings prior to 7.4.2008 . By the way , I'm surprised to see Pak Lah bringing along with him all the has beens like Khir Toyo ,Mahadzir Khalid , Idris Jusoh to name a few during his one day tour to Sabah . It simply doesn't make sense to parade all the washouts if Pak Lah's intentions is to prove to the Sabahans and Sarawakians that UMNO is still relevant when these jokers lost their states to PR and suffer total humiliation when the palace in Perlis and Trengganu rejected Pak Lah's choice of MB. Oh well , since when are Pak Lah's actions make any sense any more !

Well just being me.

My Denial

I DENY that I've been rejected by Malaysians although we lost 5 + 1 states to PR recently.

I DENY that my infamous son in law was involved in picking the candidates in the GE although we always had meetings till late at night about the choice of candidates.

I DENY that my choice of cabinet members are not clean and not good enough although some of them had been arrested and charged while some were not even picked as candidates in the GE .

I DENY that I insulted the Royalty although I strongly and publicly opposed their choice of candidates as MB .

I DENY that I'm very worried that there MPs from Sabah and Sarawak might cross over to Pakatan Rakyat although I've flying to Sabah and Sarawak to demand their undertaking not to cross over to PR .

I DENY that I'm suffering from the Denial Syndrome despite looking at all the facts before me resulting in the worst election results for UMNO / BN in the last 50 years.

I DENY everything that needs to be denied so that I can still stay to be the PM .

Err.. Son in Law ... anything more needs to denied kah ?

The great race countdown ...

Am I dreaming or hallucinating ? It appears to me that while there seems to be a race to see which side in UMNO will be victorious in cementing the fall and worst , the demise of UMNO which had ruled Malaysia for the past 50 years with the ' help ' of MCA and MIC , the new voice in town i.e.Pakatan Rakyat is trying their utmost and level best to make good their election promises . Forget about the earlier hitches between PKR , DAP and PAS which was blown out of proportion and tried to be capitalised by BN through their biased and controlled media but luckily was shot down by the alternate media .

I'm not a fan of any race be it F1 or whatever sporting race but at present I would not want miss anything in this world in following closely the D1 and the outcome of it . D1 is my term for Doomsday .

Until the next time , just being me .

O Ye ! O Ye ! Parliament in session...

The soon to be convene Parliamentary session will be interesting and unique . There will be a mixture of young and old , seasoned and freshies , new and stale faces , incumbents and first timers ... the list seems to go on and on . Kak Wan will be there with her Puteri Reformasi and Pak Lah with his in famous Son in law. Between them will be the likes of Karpal and Son and Shahrir Samad and elder brother .

I'm not exactly a fan of Samy Vellu and Lim Kheng Yaik but their absence I suppose will be felt as they were a few of the colourful MPs which had provided some hilarous moments in Parliament .

Anyway half a loaf is better than none ...err whom among the MPs are the other loaf ? We'll soon find out .

Just being me.

Who is Pak Lah's legal adviser ?

In a cabinet full of lawyers and the fact that Abd Gani Patel is the Attorney General of

Malaysia , one wonders where did Pak Lah go wrong when his choice as MB for Perlis and

Trengganu was rejected by the Royal Highnesses of the two states . Maybe the PM should

think of getting a new set of legal advisers to advice him properly of the Federal Constitution.

This would be a problem as all the better lawyers in the country seems to be alligning with

the Pakatan Rakyat . Oh well , I suppose his son in law could go back to Oxford to read law.

500,000 bloggers in Malaysia

Wow ! I didn't know that the amount of bloggers in Malaysia is that humongous . And to think that I'm one of the freshies or the new kid on the blog ( pun not intended ) . Seriously though , the events in Malaysia lately since 8th March 2008 is something out of this world . In a way after the GE in Malaysia , Taiwan and Zimbabwe ( hopefully ) seems to follow suit . I suppose size do matters .

As for Malaysia , one of the most infamous person i.e. the newly elected MP of Rembau who is also the son -in - law of the Prime Minister seems to be quite at this moment . In fact ,too quite to comfact . Besides making a statement recently about Kedah's FA decision to give free tickets to it's loyal fans , KJ seems to be living a hermit's life somewhere in Malaysia or some part of this world . If I'm a politician especially from the newly formed Pakatan Rakyat , I would be very alert and on my toes . A wounded animal is a very dangerous predator or enemy . This would also apply to UMNO to which KJ belonged especially those who had publicly or discreetly blame him for the dismal performance of BN .

Till next time . Just being myself
